I just extracted my RNA and thus have a bit of free time, and so I played a bit of Gyakuten Kenji. And, um, I'm as straight a Phoenix/Edgeworth fan as any (funnily enough, they'll always be Naruhodou and Mitsurugi in my head, but when I think of then in pairing terms it's P/E and not NaruMitsu) but WHY ARE YOU SUCH A WOOBIE, DETECTIVE ITONOKO!?

Er. He's Gumshoe in English, if I recall....and I know he's totally adorable in the PW games already, but when he's with Mittan it's like.....the biggest saddest crush ever. Mittan can so make and kick his world to the curb with a couple of sentences. Why is this man straight, again? I liked his pairing in GS3 well enough, but seriously now. What exactly was he doing in Mittan's office while he was overseas?

And Mittan, why are you so cute when you're trying to be perfectly serious? Do I really have a thing for uptight people with a tendency to have best-laid plans fall flat on their faces?

I just got to the second case. Mind, the opening case was awesome for an opening case. XD I was worried about so many things....whether Mittan would be a good narrator (he's not a natural tsukkomi like Naru, after all), whether the new writers would get him right, whether the whole system would work, whether I'm going to miss the court battles like hell....NEEDLESS WORRIES, ALL. So awesome. <3 There even were instances where I felt like I was playing GS1 all over again.

Wasn't it though?! Amazingly, it was the right level of difficulty for me to not resort to a guide but not be bored at the same time. The second case was way more confusing though, lol. .__.

There even were instances where I felt like I was playing GS1 all over again.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 同感同感！Though I never really expected to dislike this game. They'd have to mess up reaaaaaaaaaaaally abysmally bad to make me dislike a game with Mittan and Itonoko as the main characters. :'D

It's kind of hard to actually have to make Mittan's leaps of logic instead of poking at some clues in your head and hope it would gel. Fun, though. In a way, that's probably gives it the GS1 vibe.

I didn't expect to dislike it. XD Just....you know, worried if it'll be less awesome than it could be. NEEDLESS WORRY, again.

And I'll go finish Tierkreis! We're starting to hit a lull in lab activities, so I have quite a bit more time. <3

Hahaha. I have a hard time knowing *when* to do Logic mode, and I got stuck in the Investigation phases of the past 4 games quite often so I'm surprised I'm not at an impasse more often. Once you sit and stare at the pieces it's not too hard to tell which ones go together though.

Tierkreis is by far the most amazing RPG I've played on a DS to date. You definitely need to finish it.
